Library of Congress FCU is currently offering competitive certificate rates on all terms. Their CD yields range from 4.00% APY for a 3-month term to 4.70% APY for 60-month term. The minimum deposit required is $500. Traditional, Roth, SEP and Education IRA certificate rates are 10 basis points higher. Below is the full list of CD rates:

In addition to employees and volunteers of the Libary of Congress, membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Washington, DC. Membership requires a $5 fee and a minimum $5 deposit into your share savings account.

State Department Federal Credit Union is offering 7.00% APY on a 7 month new member share certificate special for those who sign up for membership on February 7th only. This special has a minimum/maximum funding requirement of $7,000 and must be funded with money new to the credit union.

Library of Congress Federal Credit Union is currently offering high yields on a number of their IRA share certificates. Yields range from 5.35% APY for a 12 Month IRA share certificate to 5.70% APY for a 60 month IRA share certificate. The minimum deposit requirement for these IRA share certificates is $1,000. The credit union also offers regular share certificates with about a 0.10% lower yields and a minimum deposit requirements of $500.

Field of membership in Library of Congress Federal Credit Union is extended to those who live, work, worship, or attend school within the District of Columbia as well as employees of the Library of Congress among others.
