Library of Congress FCU is currently offering competitive certificate rates on all terms. Their CD yields range from 4.00% APY for a 3-month term to 4.70% APY for 60-month term. The minimum deposit required is $500. Traditional, Roth, SEP and Education IRA certificate rates are 10 basis points higher. Below is the full list of CD rates:

In addition to employees and volunteers of the Libary of Congress, membership is open to anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Washington, DC. Membership requires a $5 fee and a minimum $5 deposit into your share savings account.

Educational Community Credit Union in Michigan has a special “Who’s Who Celebration” CD that earns 8% annual percentage yield. The certificate has a term of 8 months and has a minimum and maximum deposit of $500. This CD will be available until March 31, 2008, or until $8,000,000 in new certificate deposits is reached.

During this period, Educational Community Credit Union is also adding .80% apy to all their other CDs. Current yields on the credit union’s certificates include 4.75% apy on a 5-Year CD and 4.50% apy on a 4-year CD. Minimum deposit to open a regular certificate is $500.

Belvoir Federal Credit Union is offering 5.39% APY on their Young Savers 12 month youth share certificate. This certificate is available to members 18 years of age and younger. The maximum deposit limit for this certificate is $1,000.

Field of membership in Virginia based Belvoir Federal Credit Union is open to all active duty or retired US Armed Forces as well as a employees, members, worshipers, or volunteers of a number of organizations. Membership is also extended to members of the Friends of Manassas National Battlefield Park which anyone can join for $15.

California Pacific FCU is offering a special 5.55% APY 3-month share certificate. The minimum deposit is $1,000.

Membership is open to those who live, worship or work in the portion of northeastern Contra Costa County, California. Membership requires a minimum deposit of $25 in the share savings account.

Air Academy Federal Credit Union is offering 5.00% APY on a 12 month share certificate special. This special offer is available through today, but you have till February 22nd to fund this account. The minimum deposit requirement for this special is $500. This special may be opened as either a regular or an IRA share certificate.

State Department Federal Credit Union is offering 7.00% APY on a 7 month new member share certificate special for those who sign up for membership on February 7th only. This special has a minimum/maximum funding requirement of $7,000 and must be funded with money new to the credit union.

Visions Federal Credit Union is offering 5.23% apy on their 12-29 month share certificates. 30-41 month and 5 year share certificates earn 5.13% apy. These yields are good for both regular and IRA share certificates.

The credit union is also offering 5.13% apy on a 32 month IRA Super Saver share certificate special. The minimum deposit requirement for all of the aforementioned certificates is $500. To qualify for these yields, you must have a combination of other financial products with the credit union. For example, those who have a VisionsPlus Checking Account with a Visa Check Card and a Visions Gold or Platinum Card would qualify for this rate.
