The University of Iowa Community Credit Union of Iowa (IO) is offering a reward checking account that pays 6.00% APY on balances up to $50,000 (1.25% for over) and refunds ATM fees if the following monthly requirements are met: 1) 12 Visa check card purchases (non-PIN), 2) automatic deposit into the account, 3) receive e-Statements, and 4) log into online banking. If these are not met, the rate falls to 0.10%. There are no minimum balance requirements.

Membership is open to those who live or work in any of the following Iowa counties: Johnson, Linn, Iowa, Cedar, Tama, Muscatine, Louisa, Keokuk, Poweshiek, Benton, Jasper, Marshall, Mahaska, or Washington. You may also join if you are a relative of a current member or attended the University of Iowa. Membership requires a minimum $5 deposit into the share savings aaccount.
